A PhD student from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kanat Beknazarov, has begun a research internship in our Department. As part of his dissertation titled "Carbon-containing materials as reinforcing fillers of elastomers", the PhD student plans to conduct a study of the structure and properties of elastomeric nanocomposites filled with shungite - an extremely rare mineral with high carbon content. During his lecture delivered at the seminar on March 9, 2022, it was possible not only to get acquainted with an interesting research topic, but also to learn some interesting facts about distant Kazakhstan.
